The Clinical Assistant works in collaboration with the Clinical Director and Clinical Supervisor to achieve maximum responsiveness to client needs by providing clients with caring staff members who excel in interpersonal relations. Provide administrative supervision to clinical staff who perform a wide range of direct and indirect services to consumers with severe and persistent mental illness, including assessment of strengths, abilities, needs, desires, preferences, referrals and coordination of services. Services are provided in the office, home, and various locations in the community.
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and three years experience in a community mental health agency is required with a License in Social Work or Counseling. An LSW or PC is required for completion of diagnostic assessments.
A working knowledge of NEOHS Policy and Procedures, including sensitivity and adherence to clients' rights, confidentiality, and health and safety issues. Must exhibit sensitivity to different cultures.
A Master's Degree and a minimum of one year experience working with severely mentally disabled persons is preferred.
